James Gunn is debunking more claims in regards to the replacement for Henry Cavill’s Superman.

And this time, fans are even more upset because it seems like we’re getting a little closer to Henry Cavill than we thought we were. So let’s talk about a not-so-young Superman.

So, ever since Superman man legacy was announced, we all heard he’s going to be in his mid-20s, around 25. Some people and outlets have stated exactly 25 years old, and that Batman would be quite a bit older. James Gunn recently decided to tackle these rumors by saying, I never said he’s going to be 25.

 That’s just something people ran with. And as a matter of fact, I just said I didn’t want somebody in their 40s. That’s the new thing. So it sounds like that somebody that’s in their thirty s is also being considered. Now, some other outlets have stated that this is, in fact, true. 

We could get a Superman that’s closer to 40, like 38 or 39, if they see the right actor, which then brings up the whole question of, okay, so why not Caval? That’s what many people want to know. Again, I think it’s to differentiate the universe. But at the same time, it’s a legit question that fans have. And James Gunn just going out there and stating things like this and then stating that Batman will be older,

maybe not significantly, could be another big indication that Batman then is maybe, what, his mid-30s? Maybe Batman’s 40. Superman could be 35. That’s a far cry from Superman who’s in his early days. So are you going to tell me that Clark Kent didn’t become Superman until he’s, like, 32?

 I find that hard to believe. What’s he been doing? Just wandering the Earth aimlessly, looking sad? If that’s the case, if that’s what you’re doing, then just get Henry Cavill back. Like, what am I missing here? What are the fans missing here? The messaging in regard to this is really confusing. 

I really hope they make an announcement soon to try to clear up all these reports and misconceptions and I guess false reports out there. Because as far as we know, they could have kept Cavill, because that’s what it sounds like, man. Confusing.
