That’s right, today is a pretty big day for all Superman fans as we celebrate the legendary character. And also along with this, we got a pretty big update on Superman’s legacy from James Gunn.
Okay, so this update is as official as you get. It’s a little really directly from James Gunn, the man that’s going to be directing Superman Legacy, who of course is writing it. And well, there’s been a major update on it that James Gunn provided.

I will toss up the image, but as you can see, he’s officially delivered the script. This is the one on which they’re going to be basing a lot of what comes next. While of course, there can still be rewrites and some things that change, this is more or less the core of it.
Along with this, James Gunn announced a huge step forward for this project as right now pre-production is starting. This will include everything. This includes officially coming up with the suits, the concepts, and what they’re going to look like. This starts the casting process, the early, looking for locations to shoot at, and everything.

So we are now officially in the production stage, meaning that this film is now in that point where now we’re officially going to start hearing some, I would say more reliable things from places like Deadline, Hollywood Reporter variety, and the likes.
Things are happening, like there’s been movement finally. Now, of course, it’s kind of awesome that James Gunn announced this and put this out there on Superman Day, which again is a celebration of the character. And to me, this honestly kind of lines up with the whole idea of how fast of a turnaround this film is going to have. And mind you, it’s not as fast as some other films.

Obviously. Marvel Studios has one of the fastest turnarounds out there from like twelve to 14 months. This is going to be longer, but I think with all the ideas that they’re working with and since he says they’re going right now into that pre-production, you got to realize that over the next couple of months, they got to get everything together, more concepts of the suit.
Start hiring people to make the suit so they have something to test actors with and so forth. So it’s a pretty monumental step and I’m pretty
excited to see what happens next, what announcements we get, and also just what’s going to come out there officially and unofficially before they officially start shooting.
