Spiderman fans have impatiently been waiting for any update on Spiderman Four. Up until this point, everybody involved with the previous films has teased interest in doing something with Spiderman, but nothing has officially been stated in terms of when we can expect anything, when will work even start on Spiderman Four?

And it is there even really a Spiderman Four per se up until now, Marvel Studios Kevin Feige just gave us our biggest update. And, yes, Spiderman Four has officially started development.
So, again, this comes at us directly from Marvel Studios Kevin Feige, who spoke with EW, and he specifically was elaborating on the future of the MCU with phase five, Phase Six and beyond. And when they brought up Spiderman Four, he actually had an update. That’s more than what we got previously, because previously it was just, yeah, we’re talking to Sony, we’re friends with them.

Sony’s side was, yeah, we’re talking with Marvel, we’re friends with them. So nothing really well, Kevin Feige’s update is, and I quote, all I will say is that we have a story, we have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now, end quote. So, I mean, this is the biggest and most significant update, because the big update is they officially started working on a script.
They have writers actively working on it now, which honestly is great. It still means that the film is quite a ways off, but this means that all the details that were trying to be figured out behind the scenes between Sony, Marvel Studios, and Disney have all been hashed out, and that their idea for what the story is has been approved.
As he says, they have a story with big ideas. So now the writers got to execute this script, and then from there on, we get to, well, the rest of it, right, who’s going to direct it and everything else. So, pretty awesome to finally get an update, a substantial update at that.

And now we know Spiderman Four is guaranteed over at Marvel Studios, which I know there was still some doubt, about because, again, it’s rival studios working together. But this is as good of an answer and as good as anything well, anything, really, that we’ve gotten so far. So get hyped.
