Logan Director’s Response to Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Comeback Revealed
Hugh Jackman. Wolverine himself was recently asked by Film magazine, how does the director of Logan feel about his return in Deadpool Three, and it possibly ruining the legacy of his film? So he finally explains the exact feelings that James Mangold had when he found out that he was returning.
So opening up to Empire magazine, Hugh Jackman said that there was honestly no hostility, bad feelings or anything. He says that when James Mangold found out, he was actually excited and he was really cool about it. He said that Hugh Jackman explained to him how this is in no way a sequel to Logan,
which he automatically understood and explained to him that this takes place before that film. And what they’re doing here will in no way, shape or form undo anything that’s been done or said in Logan and that they’re leaving that film out of it and completely going out of the timeline to do something else.
And he said, Mangal just snorted and said, yeah, that all makes sense. And he was supportive of it, and supportive of seeing Hugh Jackman once again pick up the claws, put them on and do what they need to. And honestly, yeah, some people, when you look at the Logan fanbase or the Wolverine fanbase, they legit think that, like, James Mangold invented the character in the Fox Universe,
but he didn’t at all. Technically, you have to credit Brian Singer. And nobody wants to do that at this point. And yeah, Mangold’s done the best representation of the character, hands down. Nobody’s going to argue that. But again, everybody gets a turn at reinterpretations and doing different things.
I mean, look, one of the Loganiest thing we’ve gotten in the entire Fox universe is that whole Weapon X project where he’s like busting out and slashing and dashing. And that was in what, apocalypse? Maybe. I think it wasn’t in Dark Phoenix. I don’t care. I don’t care.
But you know the sequence I’m talking about? Somewhere in this video, I’ll play it right now. Look at this thing. This thing was amazing. Straight out of the comic book. They’ll look at everything, and again, that wasn’t mangled. So in essence, they’re all fine with it and they want us to be fine with it.

So, yeah, let’s just wait. Let’s not judge this film before we’ve seen a single frame, you know, because, come on, a lot of people tend to do that. And there’s nothing saying Deadpool Three is going to be bad. Yet yet, mind you. Yes.
