Henry Cavill teases the biggest Superman future in the new DCU
With all the recent news surrounding the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, it’s good to hear from Henry Cavill himself about the optimism in regards to a major and big future for Superman in the brand new established DC Universe under DC Studios.
So this comes at us from an interview that Henry Cavill had with Extra TV, where he was talking about the future of the man of Steel, the Superman brand,
and the brand new DC Universe formed by David Zazlab and Discovery being run by James Gunn and Peter Saffron. He said that there’s still a lot of work to be done and a lot of the stuff that he can’t talk about is obviously things that are happening behind the scenes.
But he says that if you look at the effort leading to his return involving The Rock, involving their manager, and involving the future, there is a lot of excitement about what they’re planning to do.
And he says that a lot of the excitement related to him being Superman is how long he plans to do it.
And he said, without revealing any details, because he can’t, it’s going to be for many more years to come and that it means a lot to him that people want to see more Superman and possibly even a whole new Superman trilogy with him in it. So, honestly, my take on this and

And he says that he hopes he does justice for the fans and that the fans are the ones that make it a reality. So, again, it’s sounding a lot like that.
There are quite a few things in motion and it all depends again on this massive reception that they’re hoping is good.
But again, he’s not going to sign a contract and leave the Witcher if he’s not guaranteed multiple things happening at once.
So I think we really got to look at the whole bigger picture here and kind of the big scenari
that’s at hand and the big scenario that’s at hand is they got a seat, the reception, and then that forms the next scenario right?
That informs everything that comes next, that informs universe building, that informs more Superman appearances.
So it’s going to be, I think, a while until we know exactly what the plans are. But it sounds like he’s here at least for half a decade to start and then more after that. The reception is good.
