Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special Reaction Isn’t What You’d Expect
Well, guys, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is almost here, believe it or not. So we got the first reactions for it. So let’s talk about the reception to this, I guess, interim Guardians adventure.
There has been been very little chatter in regards to the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, far less than what we saw for Werewolf By Night before it dropped. And maybe that’s intentional, maybe it’s not.
Again, we don’t know, but the first reactions are officially in and across the board. What we’re seeing is more or less a confirmation that this is very much a smaller, downsized side story adventure, focusing on the characters having a little bit of growth and also infusing heart into the story and the characters, and not really all about over the top action and insanity, if you will.
- Spiderman series that they will be coproducing with MGM and Amazon,
- Silk Spider Society Revealed as First Project between Sony And Amazon
The one consistent thing that you see with all the reactions is that this thing is unlike anything that Marvel has done so far in a good way. And it says that they’re not really trying to push the MCU or other products or anything.
That’s just like spending time with people you haven’t seen in a while, and that there’s a lot of fun, a lot of heart, that everybody gets a little bit of time to kind
of show some different side of their characters, if you will. And that essentially this is a silly mini movie that checks in with the Guardians and leaves us wanting more, reminding us that, hey, yes, the Guardians are still very much their own franchise.
And just because you haven’t seen them in multiple years in their own product, don’t forget about them because they’re coming back. So overall, it looks like it’s a resounding success if it’s what you’re looking for.
Again, it looks like this thing isn’t going to be some sort of major interlocking thing that is required viewing for you to understand what’s going to happen in the Gang Dynasty. This isn’t Loki or something like that.
This literally just seems to be a fun sidestep, and I honestly think I’m okay with that. I think I actually really wanted this and I just didn’t know. I’m kind of getting sick of everything has to be the most important thing to build up the next thing. Realistically, we just need more things like this that are
a little bit more standalone, and I think Werewolf Finite was a great example of this.
So more of that, in my opinion, is good. So let’s see what the official reviews are going to say. And they should be hitting in just a couple of days ahead of next week’s release
