In the lead-up to the release of Guardians of the Galaxy in just a few short weeks. Marvel Studios has been sending out tons of TV spots and mini trailers, and the latest one confirms the return of the other Guardians. You know, like the OG guardians. Yeah, let’s talk about them.
So there is a chance you recall this team, it had Sylvester Stallone, Michael Rosenbaum, Miley Cyrus, and so forth. Well, the recent spot confirms to us that they are in fact back.

And just a couple of days ago, we even saw Sylvester Stallone in a brand new TV spot confirming his return as well. It does look like they’re going to be somewhat more featured than just the quick cameo we had from them. Like they’re actually going to be contributing to the third act of the film, at least if you watch the TV spot.
And my assumption is that obviously, this is like the final hurrah because that’s what they’re pushing, right? So pretty much you’re going to have Starlord uniting anybody that they’ve ever worked with for this final battle. And the OG Guardians are back now. Who knows who else is going to join them?

Probably more of the Ravagers or some Splinter crews out there. Maybe Novacorp. I mean, we don’t know. But this is definitely awesome to see these characters come back.

And they weren’t just a quick throwaway like in Guardians, too. They just kind of appear and we get the bare minimum of them. But I guess it was set up for this.

And it’s cool to see that they are going to be a little bit more important here, and I like that, more or less. Nothing’s really changed other than just the Advancement of CG, I guess. But again, it’s a blurry shot from a trailer, so it is what it is. I’m excited, though. My hype for this film is really high, seeing one of my favorite actors of all time, Stallone, back.
Obviously, I’m more excited, and I just want to see how they handle this, what the approach is going to be with this team, and is like the Guardians team composition going to kind of be like these two teams merging after a few of them get killed off because that would kind of make sense.

Like, you got the old and the new sort of a hybrid. That’s just me thinking out loud and spitballing here. But whatever happens, happens. I am super hyped because I don’t know, man, these trailers and TVs author just doing it for me. I just hope they’re not pulling a thorough love and thunder and a shazam fury of the gods on me where I’m going into it so excited and like walking away going, well, that happened. Let’s not talk about that again unless I have to.
