Director of the Flash Andy Mushetti offers up an update on the Flash’s effect on the new DCU. And he might have just revealed the fate of this universe and what happens next.
So, again, this comes at us directly from the director of The Flash. And following the CinemaCon screening, there’s been a lot of questions in regard to the ending of the film and how this leads into the new DCU if it does at all. And he said, well, he can’t talk about it yet.

The day he can talk about that is June 16, after the film is officially released. Then he will talk about it because he revealed that the cut that was shown over at CinemaCon is not the finished cut.

The film is still in post-production, and they haven’t added in the completed ending at what it sets up. So I guess that report from the scooper was wrong, that the film was finished editing. The dude’s been wrong like a dozen times in the last five days and people are still believing him.
But yeah, okay, good. I think that this is a smart choice. And I talked about this when I talked about the screening that was happening. Many of you will note I said it in that video. There are chances that they’re removing scenes,
the ending is not complete, and they’re going to be editing this till the 11th hour because things are always changing internally. The buzz was high. The buzz is high coming out of CinemaCon, but you never know what’s going to happen when the reviews hit a week before the film, right? When the official reviews hit. How does it track according to the box office?

What does this mean?
So there are always chances to pivot and change things. And I think that this is honestly a smart approach. And from what we understand, there are still some elements of the film that are going to be potentially shot really close to the ending, and there are various things that are in motion that could affect what happens in the ending, meaning that cameos could be restored, scenes that weren’t in the CinemaCon cut could be put back in.

align with that. So they don’t want to spoil things. So I guess we’re going to know the week following June 16 what all this means and how this factors into the DCU.
