DC Universe Drops Major Bombshell on Batman’s Age, but Fans Can’t Get Over Ben Affleck’s Departure
People are really starting to look into everything James Gunn and Peter saffron are saying and starting to dissect everything word by word, especially if there’s something that gives us clues into some storyline or detail that we can gather. In regards to recently announced projects, this one relates to the age of Batman and specifically his relation to superman, which has a lot of people wondering, why didn’t you just keep Ben Affleck?
Okay, so recently while talking about superman, james gunn and Peter saffron were talking about the whole age thing. We know he’s going to be around 25 years old. This then jumped into a conversation related to more things based on Batman, and specifically with these characters inevitably meeting in chapter one, gods and monsters, what’s their dynamic going to be like since superman is younger?
Batman has to be older. It’s at this point that they address that, yeah, Batman will be older. And they sort of addressed it in a very weird way where it was like news or something when it wasn’t. We can just by looking at what we know, the fact that Batman is going to have Damian and that the Bat-family is going to be involved, literally gather all the details we need, right?
Like, yeah, Batman is going to be older, but it’s the details that they reveal stating that they believe that Batman will be older that have a lot of people confused because naturally, he has to be. Are you going to tell us that Batman is going to be 25, or 26 years old with a ten to 15-year-old son,
Damian Wayne? That doesn’t make sense. That literally does not work unless you’re going to go into some very weird territory with Batman and Talia Al ghul, which could be very problematic just by the nature of how old damien has to be. People have gathered sort of knowledge from the comics that they understand that Batman is going to have to be at least 30 or older.
And I think looking at it like that does bring up the whole question of why didn’t they just keep Affleck if they’re going for an older Batman. But I really think they’re going for an older Batman that’s older than superman by maybe ten years.
So when the two kinds of meet up, they are going to butt heads a little bit because they come from different ideals, and the age gap is a little problematic. But if they would have kept Affleck, you’re looking at like, what, a 45, 50-year-old Batman? That’s already too far. So I kind of understand what
people are saying, but also some of this info is just rather confusing if I could be honest with you.
They’re acting like we can’t see what they’re saying when they’re saying something. I really am kind of confused as to how they’re approaching a lot of this, at least the communication with us fans,
