Daredevil reportedly cast The Sopranos prequel actor in the lead role
Well, we got some big casting news in relation to Daredevil Born Again, which is set to start production in early 2023. And this is the casting of Michael Gandolfini in a major role.
So if you don’t know who this actor is, you might be familiar with him from the Sopranos prequel, The Many Saints, which also starred John Bernthal. And obviously, he is, as his name implies, the son of James Gandolfini, who passed away in, I believe it was 2013.
I want to say I might have that wrong, but I believe that’s when it was. Obviously, he bears a striking resemblance to him, which is why he was in the prequel and he also was in that alongside John Bernstein.
So there’s already a little bit of a Daredevil connection there. But now what we’re hearing is that the actor Michael has joined the cast of Daredevil Born Again, and allegedly it’s in a major supporting role.
And also, just as a side note, he’s also already worked with the Russo brothers and Tom Holland. So he’s kind of already connected in a weird way to a lot of marvel people. But it will be interesting to see what happens here, who he could be playing, and what exactly they’re doing here.
Considering again, it’s a major role. From what we’re hearing now, there are already some people speculating that maybe he could be playing a younger version of Wilson Fisk.
Which, again, if they want a flashback to a time that takes place after the flashbacks, after, you know, Daredevil season one, two, and three, but then place it before those events and somehow tie things in, maybe with some of the early crime wipe and things like that.
When he was rising, honestly, I think he could do a good job. At the same time, who knows? Could be a relative, could just be some kid that’s into bad stuff who Daredevils trying to clear a case for, or something like, we don’t know.
But again, he’s a good actor. I’ve seen him in like, what? Two things now? Maybe three things that I’m remembering. Either way, though, he’s a good actor and I think this is a good guy. He’s already got that sort of a crime vibe to him just from the Sopranos prequel, and they’re still talking about doing more with that. So if it does happen, he’ll already kind
of have his name out there and I think it’s great. So I’m excited to see what happens here and who he’s going to be playing, and I’m just excited for more Daredevils.

So let’s hope that we start hearing more news soon because if these castings are happening now, this means that they’re more than likely on track to start shooting by end of January, which was previously reported. That’s when they were aiming to start.
