Daredevil actor stands up to toxic fan response to She-Hulk portrayal
Star of the upcoming Daredevil Born again. Charlie Cox, aka Daredevil himself, was recently in an interview and he was asked about the toxic backlash to his character in Shiho. And he has a very diplomatic answer which has upset some people.
Well, I suppose you can’t win them all, right? Exactly. Sort of what Charlie Cox said in a recent interview with Digital Spy, where he was talking about the future of Daredevil, and they specifically wanted to talk about him returning and suiting up in she Hook.
And he said that it’s one of these things where obviously you see Daredevil in the comics, the different tones, the different takes on the character, and that’s what they were doing here.
And he specifically addresses the walk of shame and how he didn’t know how that would be and if this is something that the fans would like or hate. And ultimately he says, yeah, it was down the middle. But then he also says that if you look at who Matt is at this time, he went to La.

He let his hair down a bit. He was having fun. He gets to win this case in the courtroom. He also gets to have a fling. It’s all in a day’s business for him. And then when they brought up how silly and goofy Daredevil was, according to some fans who were also running the hashtag hashtag not my Daredevil, he said, you can’t please all the people all the time.
If she Hulk isn’t your thing and this Daredevil isn’t your thing, don’t watch it. Go watch something else. I mean, he’s not wrong. People didn’t have to watch she Hulk. There was people who are actively saying, I hate this show.
I hate everything about it, but they’re watching it every week. Like, you don’t have to, right? You just kind of move on. If I don’t like a show or a movie, I just, you know, that’s it. Doesn’t have to talk about it. I move on. And that’s kind of it.
I bought video games. Don’t like it, I just move past it. That’s kind of it, right? Don’t waste your energy on the negativity.
Just try to focus on the positivity and however it’s going to influence you, I guess. But he’s right. Daredevil, as he said before, he’s had plenty of light hearted moments and even comedy in his comics that people continuously continue to overlook because all they know is Frank Miller, and that’s not Daredevil.
And he’s hinted at the fact that they’re going to explore more of this side of Murdoch. So I guess we’ll see when we get to echo in Daredevil Born Again. But overall, it is what it is. I suppose we’ll see what happens next, especially in Daredevil Born Again and how the fans react to that.
