What happens with Black Adam in terms of box office remains to be seen. We still got weeks to go with this film playing in theaters, but going off the back of what The Rock said recently in regard to a sequel, it looks like we got some pretty big news.

If all things end up being good for Black Adam this year, they’re going to start shooting the sequel, aka Black Adam Two, in early 2023.

So it’s not really news that we already know. And they’re all confirmed that they want the sequel to be a quicker turnaround and that he’s willing to clean up his schedule. So what we’re hearing now is that they don’t want to waste any time.

They need to get more Black Adam out there and they really want to focus on getting films out quicker. Now, of course, if we look at this year, there’s been a decent amount of output from WB, I would say. I mean, you got Batman and you had Black Adam.

Of course, next year is massive, with four films, but the year after that, we have nothing. So maybe a two-year turnaround for Black Adam is optimal. And that’s what it sounds like they’re going to do, according to insiders, as long as this first film ends up turning a profit again, the jury’s still out on that.

They’re looking to roll by the time spring 2023 rolls around. I mean, they need to get the ball rolling like this. And even if Black Adam doesn’t end

up making much of a profit or even being deemed a failure again, they should still just move forward with it.
And let’s just go back to Marvel phase one. I’m not just pointing out DC as a failure here, right? I don’t want to do that. The Incredible Hulk. Failure. Thor One, failure. Captain America, the first avenger failure.

The only films in the early days of the MCU that made a profit were the Iron Man films and then The Avengers. So they got to commit to these characters and just tell people, this is what you’re getting. Either get on board or don’t.

And people will if they find the other films coming out compelling and worth it. So, honestly, I hope that this is true and that they get their things in order quickly and if they have a solid story already and they want to move forward with it, they go ahead.

Now, of course, it’s all down to the new WBDC studio CEOs and they’re going to make the final call and who knows what their job is going to be. So I guess we’ll find out probably early

next year if this is all in fact true and if they are going to do a quick turnaround on this one,
